A new pony
This is me explaining to Tim why we need a new pony for Pony Club Camp:
'But you've already got four!' What about that one?
'Millie - she's the best, but she's not sound. She hasn't really been sound since we got her'
'Well what's wrong with her?'
'We are working on it!'
'So what about Bronze?'
Bronze is even better than the best. But he is 12.2 and Honi is twelve. He's too small for what she wants to do. They've learnt everything they can together - and anyway I've promised him in loan to someone else.'
'And what about that one, that looks exactly like Bronze - don't tell me he's too small too!'
'Well, yes, actually'
So remind me why you bought him?'
'Well, no-one else wanted him and he was going to go to a sale - he had been on the market for a very long time and he was very cheap - and we are going to sell him - when we find someone that does want him.'
The remaining occupant of the field is a miniature Shetland in a sweet itch rug that loks like something from a medieval pageant. He is also called Charlie which adds to the confusion.
Tim sighs 'So tell me about this pony we're going to see:
'Well - it's been on the market for a very long time - and its very cheap.........!'
